PEIFA Marine Refuge Ecological Monitoring Program

The PEIFA is seeking one Captain in each LFA (25 & 26A) for the 2024/2025 PEIFA Marine Refuge Ecological Monitoring Program.

One Captain per LFA will be chosen for each year (2024 & 2025) from a rotating list created from the 2024 draw.

Duties include assisting in Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) monitoring in priority areas within LFA 25 & 26A. ROV monitoring will take place on the best weather days throughout the summer and fall starting in July and ending in October 2024, on dates mutually agreed upon between the Captain and the PEIFA.

Captains will need to sign a contract with the PEIFA and provide proof of marine insurance.
