2020 PEI Halibut Reallocation

Update #2 - September 16th, 2020

As of 2pm today, the PEIFA have 102 fishers confirmed for the reallocation fishery!  47 ineligible fishers (no effort in the main fishery), 32 declined the spot and we are still attempting to contact others on the list now.  At this point, we are moving down the list and will currently be contacting ELIGIBLE fishers on the draw list up to #220!

We've added additional names and draw list standings (beyond the original 200 listed) to the website so that fishers can see where they stand on the list.  The last batch of confirmed fishers will be sent in to DFO tomorrow (Sept 17th) morning.

If you are on the list between #1 and #220 and have made effort in the main fishery (meaning your eligible) and you haven't heard from us yet, please give us a call at 902-566-4050 extension 1 or 902-393-2281 and let us know your intention with the fishery.

We also anticipate a Notice to Fishers from DFO tomorrow confirming their decision on the start date of the reallocation and duration of the fishery.
