Final Update (#6) – LFA 24 Opening at 6AM, Sunday, May 5th

Following this morning’s DFO LFA 24 Weather call with DFO, Environment Canada and fishing industry reps,  it was confirmed the 2024 LFA 24 lobster season will open at 6AM Sunday, May 5th. LFA 24 season will run May 5^th to July 4^th.   A DFO Notice to Fishers will follow shortly confirming this opening.  We want to thank our PEIFA LFA 24 Lobster Advisory Committee representatives for all their time, dedication, and feedback over the past week.  Wishing all of our Northside lobster fishers a safe setting day and a prosperous season!
