Update #1 LFA 24 (11:30AM, April 22^nd, 2025):

Following the initial DFO conference call this morning regarding the opening date for spring lobster fishing in LFA 24, updates were provided on dredging and timing of dredge activity with major issues identified in at least 3 harbours along the north shore.

Another call will be held at 5pm today with PEIFA LFA 24 Lobster Advisory Committee harbour representatives to gather updates on progress of dredging/excavating, but also the status of outstanding dredging activity yet to begin.

The next DFO LFA 24 weather call is scheduled for tomorrow, April 23^rd at 9AM with DFO, Small Craft Harbours, Environment Canada and Industry reps to review if originally scheduled opening on Friday is possible.
