PEI SPRING LOBSTER SEASON UPDATE (SATURDAY MAY 1ST):

There were two DFO weather calls this morning, one for LFA 24 and another for LFA 26A/B (PEI and NS). There was agreement on both calls to hold another two DFO weather calls tomorrow morning (Sunday, May 2nd) to confirm the opening in each of these areas. The LFA 26A/B DFO call will be 9:30AM and LFA 24 DFO call at 10AM Sunday. A Monday opening looks unlikely for both LFA 24 and 26A given the current forecast but a final decision by DFO should be made on tomorrow morning’s weather calls. We will post information immediately following the calls on Sunday.
