I was speaking with Dana Kok (DFO) and she confirmed that all eligible halibut fishers (effort in the main fishery) will be allowed to fish next week in the reallocation. The PEI halibut reallocation fishery will open on Monday, October 17th and is anticipated to run the full week until October 22nd however if the quota nears 100% the fishery will shut down. To date we are at 65.78% of the PEI quota landed.

The DFO Notice to Fishers will be released tomorrow morning confirming the rest of the details.
