PEI Bluefin Tuna update – October 16th, 2023:  DFO has approved the distribution of 10,570kg of the Mexican quota transfer to PEIFA.  Following today’s conference call, it was confirmed an additional 40 tags will be issued asap using the Canadian draw list from #s 137 to 178.   DFO will start issuing tags through their Charlottetown office starting at 8:30AM, tomorrow, Tuesday, October 17th 2023.   Fishers have until 4PM Friday to pick up their tuna tags before DFO moves to the next fisher on the draw list.
