PROHIBITION ORDER NO. GSN-2011-008

The Regional Director General for the Department of
Fisheries and Oceans for the Gulf Region pursuant to subsection
3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, made
by Order in Council P.C. 1990-1121 of June 14, 1990

revokes the Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2010-
049 issued November 7, 2010, and issues the annexed Order
prohibiting fishing for contaminated fish.

PROHIBITION ORDER NO. GSN-2011-008
ORDER PROHIBITING FISHING FOR CONTAMINATED FISH
Short Title
1. This order may be cited as the Contaminated Fisheries
Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-008.
Coming into Force
2. This Order shall come into force on the date of signature
and remains in force unless otherwise revoked. NOTICE
The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of
Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that Contaminated
Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2010-049 (closing the area
listed below) is hereby revoked:
A portion of Hillsborough river upstream from a line drawn
from grid reference 497383E 5127387N to grid reference
498613E 5126695N and to a line drawn from grid reference
500610E 5128703N to grid reference 500965E 5127865N. (Refer
to map Charlottetown 11 L/3).
Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid
references, those grid references are based on the Universal
Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National
Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department
of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1983)
Fishers are reminded that a portion of these waters is still
closed to fishing due to high levels of bacteria. Fishers are
encouraged to consult their local Fishery Officers concerning the
status of the fishing areas before going fishing.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-008 comes
into force on April 6, 2011 and remains in force unless otherwise
revoked.
Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2010-049 issued
on November 7, 2010, is revoked.
