GULF REGION CLOSE TIME VARIATION ORDER 2011-017

The Regional Director General, Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, pursuant to paragraph 43(m) of the Fisheries Act and subsection 6(1) of the Fishery (General) Regulations hereby makes the annexed Order varying the close time for fishing for herring in Herring Fishing Area 16G.

ORDER VARYING THE CLOSE TIME
FOR FISHING FOR HERRING IN HERRING
FISHING AREA 16G

Short Title

1. This Order may be cited as the Gulf Region Close Time Variation Order 2011-017.

Variation

2. The close time as fixed by section 40 of the Atlantic Fishery Regulations, 1985 and set out in sub item 16.6 of Schedule VII thereto is hereby varied so that no person shall fish for herring with the type of gear set out in Column II during the close time set out in Column III of Schedule VII of this Order.

Coming Into force

3. This Order shall come into force on the date of signature and remains in force until June 30, 2011, at which time the close time shall revert to those set out in Schedule VII of the said regulations.

En vertu du paragraphe 43(m) de la Loi sur les pêches et du paragraphe 6(1) du Règlement de pêche (dispositions générales), le directeur général régional, Région du Golfe, ministère des Pêches et des Océans, établit par la présente l'ordonnance ci-annexée modifiant la période de fermeture pour la pêche du hareng dans la zone de pêche du hareng 16G.

ORDONNANCE MODIFIANT LA PÉRIODE
DE FERMETURE POUR LA PÊCHE DU HARENG DANS LA ZONE DE
PÊCHE DU HARENG 16G

Titre abrégé

1. La présente Ordonnance peut être citée comme Ordonnance de modification de la période de fermeture Région du Golfe 2011-017.

Modification

2. La période de fermeture telle qu'établie par l'article 40 du Règlement de pêche de l'Atlantique de 1985 et indiquée dans l’article 16.6 de l'annexe VII est, par la présente, modifiée afin que personne ne doive pêcher le hareng au moyen d'un engin d'un type visé à la colonne II, pendant la période de fermeture établie à la colonne III de l'annexe VII de cette Ordonnance.

Entrée en vigueur

3. L'Ordonnance sera en vigueur à compter de la date de signature et demeure en vigueur jusqu'au 30 juin 2011 date à laquelle la période de fermeture sera portée à la période de fermeture comme elle est indiquée à l'annexe VII dudit règlement.

WEEKEND CLOSURES WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM 12:00 HRS (NOON) EACH FRIDAY TO 12:00 HRS (NOON) THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY FOR EVERY WEEKEND FROM APRIL 29 TO MAY 28, 2011.
