2012 Conservation Harvesting Plan for Bluefin Tuna
within the PEI Tuna Fleet Sector

July 27, 2012 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) today announced the details of the Prince Edward Island (PEI) Bluefin Tuna fleet sectors conservation harvesting plan for Atlantic bluefin tuna in the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organizations (NAFO) Divisions 4RST-4Wd.

The Bluefin tuna allocation available to this fleet is 126.245 metric tonnes as previously announced by DFO. The opening date is set August 1, 2012 at 05:00 and will close on September 30, 2012, or once the allocation is captured.
