A formal request was submitted on June 23rd by the PEIFA LFA 24 Advisory Board Chair, asking for an extension to the 2011 lobster season, which is set to close on June 30th. The request specified an extension of the season until Saturday, July 2nd. 

DFO Regional Headquarters has responded to the request, and has notified the PEIFA that consistent with other requests that have been similarly addressed, there will be no extension to the LFA 24 Lobster season.
