Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) is announcing an amendment to the fourth halibut opening on Prince Edward Island (PEI). The PEI fleet quota is currently at 93% captured. Due to a small amount of quota remaining, the fourth opening will occur on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Licence holders are not permitted to leave port until 4 a.m. and must return to port by 8 p.m. on the day of the opening.
