DFO Notice of NARW Closures in grids affecting LFA 24 - June 10 2025:  

North Atlantic Right Whales have moved a little closer to LFA 24 resulting in partial grid closures inside LFA 24, which is the purple line (See image). 

The closure will commence on June 15th at 5:00pm. This gives fishers 120 hours to remove your gear. ALL GEAR MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CLOSED GRIDS. The pilot project (allowing gear to stay in a closed zone with only 1 end line and whalesafe gear) only comes into effect when the closure is within the 20 fathom line.
