CONTAMINATED FISHERIES
PROHIBITION ORDER NO. GSN-2011-031
The Regional Director General for the Department of
Fisheries and Oceans for the Gulf Region pursuant to subsection
3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, made
by Order in Council P.C. 1990-1121 of June 14, 1990

revokes the Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-
010 issued April 19, 2011, and issues the annexed Order
prohibiting fishing for contaminated fish.

PROHIBITION ORDER NO. GSN-2011-031
ORDER PROHIBITING FISHING FOR CONTAMINATED FISH
Short Title
1. This order may be cited as the Contaminated Fisheries
Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-031.
Coming into Force
2. This Order shall come into force on May 28, 2011, and
remains in force unless otherwise revoked. NOTICE
The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of
Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that Contaminated
Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-010 (closing the area
listed below) is hereby revoked:
Waters of Big Tracadie River and Tracadie Bay and all
waters flowing into the bay inside a line drawn from
grid reference 358164E 5259644N on Pointe de l'Île to
grid reference 358844E 5259864N, to grid reference
358917E 5260182N, and a line drawn from grid reference
358905E 5263416N to grid reference 358872E 5263719N at
Tracadie Gully, and then a line drawn from grid
reference 359990E 5267932N to grid reference 360113E
5268261N near Old Tracadie Gully. (Refer to maps Wishart
Point 21 P/7 and Tracadie 21 P/10).
Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid
references, those grid references are based on the Universal
Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National
Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department
of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1927)
Fishers are reminded that nearby waters are still closed to
fishing due to high levels of bacteria. Fishers are encouraged to
consult their local Fishery Officers concerning the status of the
fishing areas before going fishing.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-031 comes
into force on May 28, 2011 and remains in force unless otherwise
revoked.
Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-010 issued
on April 19, 2011, is revoked.
