CLOSE TIME AND QUOTA VARIATION ORDER, 2011-063

The Regional Director General, Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, pursuant to paragraph 43(m) of the Fisheries Act and subsection 6(1) of the Fishery (General) Regulations, hereby makes the annexed Order varying the close time and the quota for recreational fishing for groundfish in Division 4T.

ORDER VARYING THE CLOSE TIME AND QUOTA FOR RECREATIONAL FISHING
FOR GROUNDFISH IN DIVISION 4T

Short Title

1. This Order may be cited as the Gulf Region Close Time and Quota Variation Order 2011-063.


Variation

2. Gulf Region Close Time and Quota Variation Order 2011-055 is hereby revoked.

3. The close time as fixed by subsection 91(1) of the Atlantic Fishery Regulations, 1985 is hereby varied so that no person shall engage in recreational fishing for groundfish in the waters of Division 4T as set out in column I of Table I, during the close times as set out in column II of Table I of this Order.

4. The quota as fixed by paragraph 91(3) of the Atlantic Fishery Regulations, 1985 is hereby varied so that no person engaged in recreational fishing for groundfish shall, in any day, catch and retain more than a quota of groundfish of all species in the aggregate except white hake, northern wolfish, Atlantic wolfish and spotted wolfish of which the daily quota is varied to 0, as set out in column III of Table I of this order in the waters of Division 4T as set out in column I of Table I of this Order.

5. The quota as fixed by paragraph 91(3)(a) and 91(3)(b) of the Atlantic Fishery Regulations, 1985 is hereby varied so that no person engaged in recreational fishing for groundfish shall, in any day, catch and retain more than a quota of groundfish of all species in the aggregate as set out in column III of Table I of this order in the waters of Division 4T as set out in column I of Table I of this Order.


Coming Into Force

6. This Order shall come into force on the date of signature and remains in force, unless otherwise revoked.

The waters of Groundfish Fishing Area 4T9B. From January 1 to July 16,

From July 18 to July 31

From September 5 to December 31. Daily bag limit of 15 (fifteen) groundfish of all species in the aggregate of which no more than 5(five) cod, and 0 (zero) white hake, haddock, pollock, halibut, northern wolfish, Atlantic wolfish, and spotted wolfish.
