PROHIBITION ORDER NO. GSN-2011-004

The Regional Director General for the Department of
Fisheries and Oceans for the Gulf Region pursuant to subsection
3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, made
by Order in Council P.C. 1990-1121 of June 14, 1990

revokes the Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-
001 issued January 6, 2011, and issues the annexed Order
prohibiting fishing for contaminated fish.

PROHIBITION ORDER NO. GSN-2011-004
ORDER PROHIBITING FISHING FOR CONTAMINATED FISH
Short Title
1. This order may be cited as the Contaminated Fisheries
Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-004.
Coming into Force
2. This Order shall come into force on the date of signature
and remains in force unless otherwise revoked. NOTICE
The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of
Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that Contaminated
Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-001 (closing the area
listed below) is hereby revoked:
All the waters of North Rustico Harbour and the lower
portion of the Hunter River inside a line drawn from a
point on land at grid reference 477028E 5146029N; thence
to a point on the water at grid reference 478630E
5144424N; thence to a point on land at grid reference
477902E 5143713N and thence to a line drawn at the Rustico
Highway Bridge from grid reference 475554E 5142121N to
grid reference 475614E 5142030N. (Refer to map North
Rustico 11L/6).
Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid
references, those grid references are based on the Universal
Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National
Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department
of Energy, Mines and Resources. (North American Datum 1983)
Fishers are reminded that nearby waters are still closed to
fishing due to high levels of bacteria. Fishers are encouraged to
consult their local Fishery Officers concerning the status of the
fishing areas before going fishing.

into force on January 28, 2011 and remains in force unless

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2011-001 issued
on January 6, 2011, is revoked.
