DFO is in the process of determining which PEI Halibut fishers are eligible (fishing effort in the main fishery) for the reallocation fishery.  The PEIFA have been asked to collect the names of those fishers who would be eligible but are NOT wanting to participate in the reallocation in order to maximize fishing effort in the reallocation.  One fisher not participating will allow for the next fisher on the list to participate.  The date of the reallocation fishery will be early next week more info TBA tomorrow.  Reallocation draw results and DFO confirmed # of participants is expected sometime tomorrow, Wednesday October 6th.  Any fishers NOT expecting to participate, please contact the PEIFA office (text, phone, Facebook messenger) asap.
