A Department of Fisheries & Oceans (DFO) conference call was held this morning with Small Craft Harbours, Search & Rescue, Environment Canada and fishing industry reps to review the status of harbours and the forecasted weather. A decision on the opening was not confirmed on the call. DFO advised that they will confirm their decision on the opening later this morning and will advise all fishing industry reps as soon as that decision is made. We will post the decision to our members and reps asap.
