Update – 2023 PEI Halibut:  The PEIFA have been advised by DFO the request to re-open 4T5 and 4T7 for the PEI halibut fishery has been approved for the 2023 commercial fishery.  A DFO Notice to Fishers with all details will be released by DFO on Monday.  The dates of the PEI halibut fishery are confirmed as follows:  

• 1^st opening:  Tuesday, July 11^th to Friday, July 14^th ,
• 2^nd opening: Tuesday, July 25^th to Friday, July 28^th
• 3^rd opening:  Tuesday, September 12^th to Friday, September 15^th
• 4^th opening: Tuesday, September 26^th to Friday, September 29^th
• Reallocation fishery date if required:  The week of October 16^th (# of days TBD)
