Below is the unofficial draw results from today’s 2017 halibut reallocation fishery draw.  Please note they will be subject to Department of Fisheries & Oceans approval.  Thanks to Michelle Burge, MRSB, for her assistance with the draw.  A total of 190 fishers entered the reallocation draw and below we included the top 100 for your info.

There will be a total of 55 commercial fish harvesters participating in the reallocation fishery September 26, 27, 28th, 2017. 

Individual allocation limits remain at 182 kg per fisher, hooks in the water from 6am to 6pm only, maximum of 300 hooks.  Also note the new license condition in concern for the North Atlantic right whale that notes; “When fishing in waters depth greater than 20 fathoms, all fishing gear shall be closely tended at all times.”
