2PM - May 5th, 2015 UPDATE -
The PEI Fishermen’s Association’s LFA 24 Lobster Advisory Committee held a conference call this morning with all harbour representatives to discuss weather/ice conditions and the opening date. The Advisory Committee reached unanimous agreement to recommend an opening of Friday, May 8th, 2015 for the LFA 24 Lobster fishery on PEI. Department of Fisheries & Oceans (DFO) is considering this request. Final confirmation from DFO is expected later today. The PEIFA will update members as soon as possible when advised by DFO.
