There is 28.693 tonnes of PEI tuna quota remaining for 2016.

An allocation of approximately 90% of available tags will be issued for the September 30th reallocation fishery opening.  The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has advised that eligible fishers with draw list numbers from #82 up to and including #188 will be issued their tuna tag for the reallocation fishery opening September 30th. A re-evaluation of catch rates and available quota will occur late next week. The fishery will close once the allocation approaches/reaches 0 MT.

Tags are available at the DFO office now and will be available every weekday from 8am – 4pm.

License Conditions should be out by Thursday afternoon at the latest.

Season reopens Friday, September 30th at 5 AM.
