Please note that for Transport Canada to sign a Declaration of seven fishing seasons, the operator of a fishing vessel needs to have proof of their sea service acquired or have the sea service form endorsed by a commissioner of oaths. A commissioner of oaths will be present on site.
Please contact Transport Canada at (902) 566-7990 for any questions regarding what documents may be required for validation. These sessions will enable fishers to have their training and service documents validated to current standards.
PLEASE NOTE: Fish Harvesters are to bring proper ID. They will need proof of Canadian citizenship. This can be original Birth Certificate, Passport or Baptism Certificate. They also need a government issued photo ID, such as, Driver’s License or Firearms acquisition Card. Need two separate pieces of ID. Very important!
