REMINDER: Western Gulf Fishermen’s Association & Prince County Fishermen’s Association Marine Plant (Irish Moss) License Holders          

A mailout vote was sent to all WGFA & PCFA Marine Plant (Irish Moss) license holders on March 23rd, 2023 in regard to the Retirement of Marine Plant (Irish Moss) licenses. The WGFA & PCFA are seeking your input on the permanent retirement of Irish Moss licenses. The retirement of these licenses will contribute to increasing the percentage of Marine Protected Areas (MPA) around Prince Edward Island while allowing existing fisheries to continue.

The deadline for vote submission is APRIL 21ST, 2023.
