The PEI Fishermen's Association on behalf of the LFA 24 and 26A Lobster Advisory Committees have requested a July 4^th close date to the Spring lobster season in both LFA 24 and 26A.  This request has been made to DFO and the Minister of Fisheries & Oceans who will be making the final decision on this request.  Other Associations within the Gulf Region have made a similar request for July 4^th.  As soon as the PEIFA is notified of a decision, we will notify Advisory reps and members asap.
