The PEIFA Tuna Advisory continue to work on the submission to DFO re: 2013 PEI Bluefin Tuna CHP (Conservation Harvesting Plan).

An opening date for the main PEI commercial fishery of July 15th, 2013 will be requested to DFO by the Tuna Advisory with a closing date of October 1st. A roll over of no transfer of tags and 1 fish per day per vessel will also be requested.

The Tuna Advisory will continue to work on the details of the submission on the 2013 PEI tuna fishery. More detail will be made available as soon as possible. And please note, these dates decided by the Tuna Advisory will be submitted to DFO for their consideration. DFO will make the final decision on the CHP/Management plan.
