News Release – For Immediate Release
November 23, 2012

The Prince Edward Island Fishermen’s Association supports the efforts of Fisheries Aquaculture and Rural Development Minister Ron McKinley in his promotion of Prince Edward lobster and other Island seafood products.

The PEIFA also recognizes the promotion and marketing efforts of the Province in conjunction with the Culinary Institute of Canada. This strategy is proving to be a winning formula as international chefs connect directly with our world class seafood.
The recent promotions in Alberta and most recently China and Japan are a step forward in establishing and distinguishing the Prince Edward Island brand as a premium product on the world stage.

The PEIFA will continue to work with the Province of Prince Edward Island, the Culinary Institute of Canada and other partners in heightening the profile of our lobster and will continue to work diligently in improving the financial returns to Island harvesters.

For more information please contact PEIFA President Mike McGeoghegan at
