To all HFA 16G herring fishermen,
A Multi year waiver is now in the mail to all HFA 16G herring license holders for the HFA 16G overage program.
The multi-year waiver that has been requested by fish harvesters at the 2011 Annual General HFA 16G Herring meeting at Poole’s Corner, PE on December 9th, 2011.
The current program was established in 2011 and resulted in 100% success and compliance. The HFA 16G Herring Advisory Board received positive feedback on the program and thus the continuation of the program for 2012 and beyond.
Fish harvesters are asked to sign and complete the enclosed waiver and return by mail or fax ((902) 368-3748) to the PEI Fishermen’s Association office in Charlottetown. The PEIFA will forward acceptance to the program to DFO licensing for issuance of license conditions.
This waiver will remain in effect for consecutive years and/or until the program is no longer in effect.
