On behalf of the PEIFA, our condolences to the Campbell family on the recent passing of Mac Campbell. Mac was a regular contributor to our Newsletter and he will be missed by many.

Veteran CBC broadcaster Mac Campbell died Wednesday in Charlottetown.

Campbell was 69. He had been battling cancer for a number of years.

Campbell began his journalism career in radio in Cape Breton and Newfoundland. He was a long-time broadcaster with CBC on Prince Edward Island, and served for years as the fisheries reporter on Maritime Noon.

After his career at CBC, Campbell worked for Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and also wrote about fisheries for a number of publications.

Campbell also volunteered with the ECMAs and the Small Halls Festival
