With approximately five tons allocated to the PEI Bluefin Tuna fleet in a reallocation of the Canadian tuna quota, the PEIFA Tuna Advisory Committee, in conjunction with DFO, has determined to roll over the outstanding allocation to the 2010 tuna season. Next year it will be added to the PEI quota, subject to final authorization from Ottawa.

With the end of the season, the PEIFA Tuna Advisory Committee would like to express its sincere thanks to Colin MacIsaac, DFO Resource Management, Charlottetown, for his efforts and assistance to the committee throughout this past year.
