Brief update on meeting with PEI processors and harvester reps today:

MEETTING WITH PROCESSORS AND HARVESTERS – MAY 9TH, 2013 IN CHARLOTTETOWN:

There was an intense and lengthy meeting today at 3pm in Charlottetown to discuss the serious concern with lobster prices. The PEIFA Board of Directors were in attendance.

Both harvesters reps and processors in attendance stated their position but no movement was made on price agreement.

Request was made for an urgent meeting to be established as early as tomorrow to include the full contingent of PEI processors and buyers as well as those from other provinces who purchase PEI lobster inviting them all to sit at the same table with PEI harvester reps.
