The Prince Edward Island Fishermen’s Association in partnership with the Herring 16G Advisory Board is seeking Captains/Vessels for hire to participate in the 2013 HFA 16G Gear Retrieval Project which will be funded through the Herring Overage Program. Fishers will work closely with the advisory and local DFO Conservation and Protection Officers in the retrieval of lost or abandoned gear. The Advisory is seeking 2 participants in the North Lake area and 2 for Fishermen’s Bank to assist when/if needed. The deadline for submissions is Friday, August 23rd.
