6PM – May 5^th, 2015 UPDATE – LFA 24 Lobster season opening

The PEI Fishermen’s Association have been advised by the Department of Fisheries & Oceans (DFO) that no confirmation will be made on the season opening until noon, Weds, May 6th.  DFO will be on a call with Coast Guard tomorrow morning and we will be advised of a decision after that call.  

Earlier today, the PEIFA LFA 24 Lobster Advisory made a recommendation to DFO for a Friday, May 8th opening to the LFA 24 lobster season.  Again, final decision on the opening will be made by DFO.

 The PEIFA will update the membership as soon as possible when a decision is made.
