LOBSTER SCIENCE WORKSHOPS:

The FSRS-GOMLF Collaborative Lobster Science Workshop will be held on February 19, 2013 at the Best Western Glengarry Hotel in Truro, NS. The workshop is a collaborative effort of the Fishermen and Scientists Research Society (FSRS) and the Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation (GOMLF).

Planned workshop topics include:

• Investigating the Ghost Fishing Capacity of Derelict Fishing Gear
• ALMQ – What are we seeing? - Results from the Atlantic Lobster Moult and Quality Project
• Lobster Bait
• Age Determination of Lobster
• Size at Maturity Study Update
• Lobster Recruitment Index Project Results
• Lobster Research in the NSERC Network on Capture Fisheries: Biological Units (Stocks) and Connectivity of American Lobster Homarus americanus in Eastern Canada
