Below you will find the Notice to Fishers regarding the most recent whale closures. Note there is a new closure on the North East end of the island coming into effect on Oct. 11 at 5pm. That means within the red hashed areas you will not be permitted to leave gear unattended. 

 

If you are within the 20 fathom line, there is no closure in effect and gear can remain unattended. The closure, allowing tended gear only, is within the red hashed grids which will turn solid red and be officially closed on Oct. 11 at 5pm.
