The Fall Herring Fishing Area 16G Overage Program will proceed as usual for 2020, with the exception of revamped paperwork for each harvester and buyer.

Please click the link below to access the new multi-year buyer and harvester waiver forms for existing and new harvesters/buyers involved in the 16G herring fishery.

For Harvester's Waiver click here

Please note that if you have signed a waiver in previous years, each harvester and buyer will have to sign a revamped waiver for this year.

Waivers may be faxed to (902) 368-3748, emailed to jennifer@peifa.org or sent to: PEI Fishermen’s Association - Suite 102, 420 University Avenue, Charlottetown, PE, C1A 7Z5

We would like to remind everyone that the program operates with the co-operation of all harvesters and buyers.

It should be noted that the management practices for the 16G herring fishery remains status quo with a daily catch limit of 15,000 pounds (6,804 kg) to a maximum amount of 75,000 pounds (34,020 kg) per week with possibility of amendment from time to time.
